Buying guide
The plumbing behind "pay with crypto."
Most of how a crypto payment works is invisible to the buyer — you send a payment and get a receipt. Here is what actually happens between those two moments.
Bitflow is the processor, not us
American Dream Motors never touches or holds your cryptocurrency directly. Bitflow sits between the buyer and the dealership the way a card processor sits between a store and a bank — it is a dedicated crypto payment processor built for exactly this job.
Your total is locked the moment you pay
When your sales rep creates the payment request, Bitflow quotes the current market exchange rate and generates the exact crypto amount due for your USD total. That quote holds for the payment window, so a price swing after you hit send does not change what you owe or what we receive.
Instant settlement removes volatility risk
Once your payment confirms on the blockchain, Bitflow settles the value to the dealership. Neither you nor American Dream Motors is exposed to Bitcoin or Ethereum moving in price after that point.
Where the 3.25% fee goes
It is Bitflow's processing fee, not a dealership markup — comparable to why a card network charges a merchant a swipe fee. In our case, that fee is passed through to the customer who chooses to pay in crypto, disclosed before anything is sent.
Security and compliance
Bitflow performs its own identity and anti-money-laundering checks as part of every transaction. Every confirmed payment is also recorded on the relevant public blockchain — a transparent, permanent record independent of Bitflow's own systems.
Common questions
Does American Dream Motors hold onto cryptocurrency?
No. Value settles through Bitflow — the dealership deals in dollars, not crypto balances.
What happens if I send crypto but change my mind?
Once a crypto payment is broadcast and confirmed on the blockchain, it is final — unlike a card payment, it cannot be reversed. Confirm your deal with your sales rep before you send anything.
Which blockchain network do I send on?
It depends on the coin — Bitcoin settles on the Bitcoin network, Ethereum and other tokens on their own networks. Your sales rep confirms the right network and address before you send. Sending on the wrong network can permanently lose funds, so always double-check.
Can I see proof my payment went through?
Yes — every confirmed transaction has a public blockchain transaction ID, and your sales rep can confirm the payment status directly.
